Rakael appeared as Shatique in White Guy On the Bus. Acting credits elsewhere include: God’s Trombones (Chorus) at Arena Players; Oraculus (Dancer) at Salt Luck Arts (Baltimore, MD); Urinetown (Soupy Sue) at The Heritage Players (Catonsville, MD). Additional credits: appearances in Criminals at Work and the web series Battlefields of the Mind at the Black Entertainment Television (BET Network) Began her acting career in Philadelphia, PA at the Black Theater Festival (at the age of seven!), being featured in original plays such as The Haven and Broadway Babies; continued to pursue her acting passion with Cockpit in Court at the Community College of Baltimore County (MD) from the age of twelve; feature and co-starring performer in productions such as Chicago (Mama Morton) and Iphigenia in Aulis (Clytemnestra), for which portrayal she earned a Cappie nomination; also, multiple roles in The Laramie Project, which she performed on tour at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Rakael says that she is elated to be working with The Stagecrafters and is thankful for the opportunity.
