Since our founding in 1929, The Stagecrafters has been dedicated to providing theater both for and by the community. Our day to day operation, as well as each of our productions, depend upon community involvement from throughout the Delaware Valley.
Live theater enriches both the audience and the people involved in producing it, and our mission is to serve both of those communities – not only our audiences. We welcome participation from throughout the community, and there are many ways of getting involved, at different levels of commitment.
For those interested in performing, we encourage auditioning for one of our shows. We cast all shows from the community, and our casts range from first-time actors to seasoned veterans with professional training.
We also have a wide range of volunteer opportunities, and a great need of people to fill them! From office work, to set construction, to backstage work, if you have time and enthusiasm, we are eager to find a way for you to work with us.
Many of our volunteers and actors find themselves calling the theater home, and for those interested, we encourage becoming a member of the theater. Members can take a more active role in setting the theater’s direction, and participate in (and run in) elections for our board of directors.
